Yves' POV She couldn't stay away, not after talking to Byers this morning and learning Jimmy was still in a fugue state after watching his friend kill himself two nights before. Byers had assured her, rather uncertainly, Jimmy would snap out of it and be back to normal, but Yves had been there and seen the grief that had threatened to overwhelm him before he had fallen into an emotional void. She had arrived a half-hour ago to find Jimmy sitting on the stoop of the warehouse, and she thought that maybe Byers had been right. But, his usual smile was missing and he had been staring at nothing and maybe everything for over half an hour. She stayed hidden behind one of the empty buildings where she could watch him. She wanted nothing more than to run to him and hold him and tell him everything would be all right. Jimmy had the truest, purest heart of anyone she had ever known and she wanted to protect that special heart from life's tragedies, but she couldn't. Maybe it was selfishness, but she thought if she went to him, and held him, it might lead to something more physical between them. She wanted to be with him, her body and heart ached for it, but she didn't want it to happen because of grief, another death standing between them. He had been there for her when Santavos died.. She still felt guilt over his death, and maybe still loved him a little, but she realized that her heart belonged to Jimmy. It always had from the first time she saw him in his underwear doing that Tom Cruise impersonation. She wanted to laugh at the memory, but the sight of him alone on the stoop looking so small broke her heart. She snuck a peak and saw that the VW bus was parked in the ally. Dammit, where were the Lone Gunmen when Jimmy needed his friends the most? As if answer to her question, the warehouse door opened and Frohike, Byers, and Langly came out and formed a protective circle around Jimmy. No one said anything, but then Yves could see Jimmy's' lips move. She wished she could read lips and know what was in his fractured heart. Then, she sensed a change, and looked at him. She knew the emotional void had disappeared and then he was crying. Frohike reached out to him and Jimmy, sweet Jimmy clung to him, crying, releasing two days worth of grief. Frohike, who was trying to comfort Jimmy suddenly looked up searching the ally and the abandoned buildings. Yves though maybe he had seen her, but realized that Frohike's paranoia gave him a sort of sixth sense when it came to being watched. Not wanting to alarm him, she stepped out from the shadows just enough so he could make her out. Frohike nodded once, acknologing her presence. She smiled, nodded back and turned to leave. She couldn't go to Jimmy just yet, it wasn't their time yet. Her heart still ached at the thought of leaving when he was still in so much pain, but he was with his friends. THE END
